Hello, I'm Ashley

I’m an aspiring web developer with a lifelong curiosity about how things work. My first introduction to web development and computer science came in seventh grade, where I began exploring AutoCAD and programming through Khan Academy. However, due to changing schools, I had to make a difficult choice between continuing with computer science or pursuing collision repair. I chose collision repair and spent time working in automotive collision shops, only to discover I saw no future in that field.

After that, I transitioned into retail and eventully found myself working in medical manufacturing. It was there I realized I wanted to do more than just be an able body - I wanted to create and build solutions that have a real impact. Remembering how much I enjoyed coding years ago, I decided to pursue this passion seriously and enrolled in an online course to study web development.

Currently, I work full-time building medical products while dedicating my evenings to expanding my programming skills. I've always been someone who juggles multiple responsibilites, striving to understand the world around me and contribute meaningfully wherever I can.

My goal is to become confident in backend programming languages while maintaining a strong understanding of frontend technologies to create full projects independently. I am particularly drawn to backend development because of my attention to detail and love for structured problem-solving. While I value design, I find deep satisfaction in building the foundational systems that make the application work.

I am seeking entry-level opportunities in server-side development where I can continue to grow, collaborate with talented teams, and contribute to meaningful projects. What drives me is the sense of accomplishment that comes from solving problems and creating tools that make life easier for others. I want to wake up every day knowing I am making a difference, even in small strides, by bringing ideas to life through code.
